The 3M™ VHB™ Tape 4959 offers a fast, easy to use permanent bonding solution with high strength and long-term durability. With its white color and 0.120 in (3.0 mm) thickness, it features a general-purpose acrylic adhesive with a firm foam core. This tape is designed to replace mechanical fasteners like rivets, welds, and screws, as well as liquid adhesives to provides virtually invisible fastening that keeps surfaces smooth.

The tape is well known for its excellent shear strength and conformability. Its surface adhesion makes it suitable for bonding to a variety of substrates like metals, glass, plastics, wood, and concrete. It belongs to 4950 family of 3M™ VHB™ Tapes, which are specifically designed for good adhesion for high surface energy materials.
