3M™ VHB™ Tape 4655, a fast and easy to use permanent bonding method provide high strength and long durability. Its virtually invisible fastening keeps surfaces smooth and it can effectively replace mechanical fasteners or liquid adhesives. It is a dark gray, 0.062 in (1.6 mm) thickness, general purpose adhesive with firm foam and high temperature resistance. It eliminates the need for drilling, grinding or screwing and create a permanent seal against water and moisture. Its pressure sensitive adhesive bonds on contact, provide immediate handling strength. It allows the use of thinner, lighter weight and dissimilar materials, offering design flexibility. As part of the 4611 family of 3M™ VHB™ Tapes, it excels in applications like stiffener and panel attachment, decorative material, trim and nameplates.
