3M™ Tissue Tape 91091 is a 3.5 mil thick double-coated tissue tape featuring acrylic adhesive on both sides. The tissue carrier ensures dimensional stability and easy handling. Suitable for bonding high surface energy materials, its bond strength relies on proper adhesive-to-surface contact, enhanced by firm pressure during application. Clean, dry, and unified surfaces are essential for optimal adhesion, with isopropyl alcohol or heptane recommended for surface cleaning. The ideal application temperature ranges from 70°F to 100°F (21°C to 38°C), while initial application at temperatures below 50°F (10°C) is not advised due to adhesive firmness. Maximum adhesion is typically achieved within 72 hours at ambient temperature, necessitating a waiting period for evaluation.
